The four-storey West Edmonton Home2 Suites, Edmonton's first in the Hilton Home2 brand in Canada, showcases a crisp, modern architectural language rooted in modular construction efficiency and sustainability. The façade composition blends warm masonry tones with contrasting panel systems and generous glazing to create a clean, rhythmic elevation with balanced proportions.
A highlight of the project is its innovative structure: the hotel was constructed using prefabricated steel studs rather than traditional wood framing, significantly shortening the construction timeline to under eleven months while using 100% recyclable materials. This environmentally conscious approach underscores the brand’s commitment to sustainable design without compromising quality or aesthetic integrity.
Vertical and horizontal massing are articulated through subtle recesses, window patterns, and cladding shifts—defining the scale of each suite cluster and anchoring common areas like the entry canopy and lobby façade. The restrained, minimalist expression is underlined by sharp geometry and clear structural logic, conveying both functionality and modern appeal.
